Stanley Allan Wyner

May 25, 1948 – April 10, 2025

Stanley A. Wyner, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in May 1948, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Buffalo, New York. 

Stan was a charismatic, compassionate, and dedicated son, father, brother, partner, friend, and mentor to many, and his personal and professional impact has made a lasting impression on so many throughout his life.

Growing up, he spent some of his childhood years in Union, NJ, before returning to Pittsburgh, PA.  Stan attended Temple University, earning his Bachelor's in Business Administration.  His journey through life moved him to various cities, finally settling in Buffalo, NY.

Stan was a dedicated career professional, and held prominent senior leadership roles in numerous companies, including AT&T, Cellular One, Carrie Allen, and more.  He was driven by a passion for fostering the growth of both businesses and individuals. Most recently, he served as an executive coach and Master Chair for Vistage Worldwide, where he empowered business leaders to achieve success in their professional and personal lives. Helping others brought him immense joy and fulfillment.  Stan was a former member and chairman of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership Small Business Council.  In 1999, he was named their Small Business Volunteer of the Year.

Stan was also deeply involved with the Rotary Club of Buffalo for over 30 years, holding various leadership positions and worked to make a positive impact on the community.  He was involved in many charities over the years, including having previously served on the Executive Boards of Meals on Wheels and Boy Scouts of America.  Stan also served as a volunteer with Therapy Dogs International.  He was a devoted lover of his many animal companions throughout his life.

A passionate fan of music, Stan was a singer and aspiring guitar player.  In his recent years, he joined the Rocky Blues Band as a vocalist and enjoyed performing immensely. Stan was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, and loved to watch racing, go to car shows, and more.  He was a member of the British Car Club and owned a 1960 Triumph TR3A. He previously served as VP of the BMW Riders Club of WNY.  In 2019, he rode cross-country on his BMW Motorcycle.  Stan proudly owned and enjoyed his Mazda Miata, and was a member of the Niagara Miata Club.  Embracing the WNY culture, he began playing ice hockey at the age of 50, captaining his adult novice team.

Stan is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Adam) Klitzner, son Edward (Yvonne Smith) Wyner, his mother Rose Wyner, brother Bob (Frani) Wyner, grandsons Noah and Zachary Klitzner, his loving partner Sheri Levine, and his dog Ollie.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at MESNEKOFF FUNERAL HOME, 8630 Transit Rd., E. Amherst 14051. A Celebration of Life will be held following the service at 12:30 PM at Sto Lat Bar, 4475 Transit Rd., Williamsville 14221. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rotary Club of Buffalo, Buffalo Jewish Federation or a charity of one’s choice.
