Our History
The Mesnekoffs have been associated with the funeral business industry
since 1935, when Nathan Mesnekoff started his first funeral home. In
1952 Nathan built Delaware Park Memorial Chapel where he was joined by
his son Melvyn. In 1983, Melvyn's son Jay joined the firm.
Mesnekoff Funeral Home, Inc. is located in suburban East Amherst, New
York. It is independently owned and operated by Jay L. Mesnekoff. Our
facility is over 8,000 square feet and Mesnekoff Funeral Home caters
specifically to the Jewish community.
Personalized Service
We work closely with the local Chevra Kadisha, and follow all necessary
Jewish customs if so desired. We handle chapel, graveside and Temple
services. Our facility is conveniently located near all local Temples
and cemeteries.
Mesnekoff Funeral Home works closely with different aftercare programs
through the local Temples and through Jewish Family Services. Jay is
also a licensed funeral director in Florida and New York State.

available for the needs of our families. We understand personal service
and will meet your personal needs regardless of financial
circumstances.
Affiliations and community involvement
Jay Mesnekoff is a member of the Jewish Funeral Directors of America,
New York State Funeral Directors Association and the National
Independent Jewish Funeral Directors Association. Jay is also on
numerous boards and committees and belongs to a local Masonic lodge.
