Carole R. Chernick (nee Tragash)

September 9, 1936 – December 16, 2023

Beloved wife of the late Arnold Chernick; loving mother of Lisa (Lyle Hysen) Chernick and David (Mary Grace Kelly) Chernick; devoted sister of the late Shirley Giallombardo and Edward Tragash; sister-in-law of Cynthia Jainchill and Wende Tragash; adoring grandmother of Charlotte, Juliet, Ciara and Fionn. Carole is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mom-, grandma-, auntie-extraordinaire, she loved cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her family. Carole was also proud of the many years she spent working at Williamsville South High School and the lifelong friendships she had with colleagues there.

A Mausoleum Service will be held Thursday 11AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209. Please assemble at Delaware-Delavan gate at 10:45AM. A lucheon and celebration of Carole’s life will follow the interment at the home of Marian Giallombardo, 192 Louvaine Dr., Kenmore, NY 14223.
